Nurtur Reader is a beta Chrome extension and related service that helps readers understand online articles. This policy explains what we process when you use the extension, website, and account-backed reading features.

Chrome Extension

Nurtur reads page content only when you invoke the extension on that page. It does not continuously collect page content in the background for advertising or unrelated tracking.

Information We Process

When you use Nurtur on an article, we may process the active page URL, domain, title, page metadata, extracted article text or Markdown, selected text, your questions or instructions, article images, and low-resolution visual data when those inputs are used for a requested feature.

We also process generated rewrites, recommendations, diagrams, explanations, source-grounded answers, chats, patches, and content changes created through the product.

If you sign in, we may process authentication data such as your Google or email sign-in identity, email address, name and profile information when available, account identifiers, guest identifiers, session identifiers, and session state needed to keep you signed in.

Usage and Error Telemetry

We collect limited usage and error telemetry to understand whether features work, diagnose failures, protect the service, and improve the beta. Telemetry is designed not to include raw article content, selected text, prompts, authentication tokens, cookies, or secrets. Where we need to understand user actions, we prefer counts, timing, hashes, domains, error details, and other operational metadata instead of raw reading content.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide the features you request, including extraction, rewriting, explanation, diagrams, recommendations, source-grounded answers, history, caching, personalization, account access, security, debugging, support, and product improvement.

Storage

We may store article records, generated outputs, chats, patches, content changes, reading recommendations, reading profile data, reading knowledge, personalization data, account data, guest data, and session data when needed to provide history, caching, personalization, security, support, and reliable operation.

AI Processing

Content needed for a requested feature is sent to Nurtur backend services and AI providers only to generate that feature. Nurtur does not sell personal information, does not use article content for advertising, and does not use your article content to train Nurtur-owned models. Third-party AI providers may process or retain data under their own policies, contracts, and service terms.

Third-Party Services

We use service providers to run Nurtur. These may include AI model providers such as Google Gemini, OpenAI, and Anthropic when enabled; Google for authentication and website analytics; Resend for email sign-in delivery; PostHog, Sentry, and Honeycomb for analytics, observability, and error reporting; GitHub Pages for website hosting; and hosting, database, and vector-storage infrastructure such as AWS and Pinecone where used.

Cookies and Sessions

Nurtur may use cookies, browser storage, authorization headers, or similar session technology to keep you signed in, remember product state, secure requests, and understand basic website usage.

Deletion Requests

You can request deletion of your account and associated stored reading data by emailing pranav@nurturhq.com. We may keep limited records where needed for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations, or backup integrity.

Security and Changes

We take reasonable measures to protect information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Because Nurtur is still in beta, we may update this policy as the product changes.
